Emerging Perspectives

New perspectives can emerge during times of change and 2020 was a year like no other. How has the past year influenced your art? Did any emotions come through in your art; did you use different colors; did your art take on a different tone or mood? Has a new perspective changed the way you approach your artwork?  Perhaps for you, your art was the one steady thing that didn’t change at all this year and that gave you a new perspective on everything else. Whether you made art to reveal your inner self, to escape from your outside surroundings, or to take comfort in the familiar, we want to see it.

GUIDELINES:​  

• Artists may submit up to 2 works. 

• All subjects, styles, and techniques will be accepted, from realistic to abstract – figures, landscapes, architecture, animals, design, observations, inventions, transformations, symbols, etc. 

• Submitted works can be in any medium, 2D or 3D, except for video.

• Work should not exceed 48” including the frame in any direction. For works over 30lb, contact FAA to arrange for artist installation.

RULES: 

• The exhibit is open to active FAA Member Artists. Be sure to renew your membership for 2021.

• In order to participate in this exhibit, artists must complete the online entry form by clicking the "Complete Entry Form" button below.

• Email a jpeg image of each work that FAA and Tall Grass may use for various promotional materials to entries@frankfortarts.org. Label your jpegs with your full name and Emerging.  EX: KristinMurphy_Emerging or KristinMuphy2_Emerging

• Work must be properly wired and ready to hang; no sawtooth hangers, please. Wrapped edges must be finished.

• Curators reserve the right to refuse work that does not meet the requirements or is considered too fragile for the exhibit.

• All work remains on exhibit for the duration of the show. If purchased, the piece will hang until the show has ended and arrangements will be made for pick-up by the purchaser. 

• Unless requested otherwise by the artist, permission is given to the FAA and Tall Grass Gallery to use any images of exhibited work for publicity or educational purposes.  

FEES AND COMMISSION:

• There is a nonrefundable $10 fee to participate. At the time you send your entry information, please make your payment by clicking the "Pay $10 Fee" button below.  

• Tall Grass Gallery collects 30% of the sale price of each work sold during the run of the show.

• Work may be marked as Not for Sale.

Exhibit dates: March 13 - April 17, 2021 

Opening day: March 13, 2021, 11am-4pm

Deadline for entries: Saturday, February 13, 2021

Delivery of entries: February 20 - 24, 2021 by appointment

Loan and consignment forms due: At time of art delivery  

Final day of exhibit on view: Saturday, April 17, 2021 

Date for pick-up of exhibited work: April 17 - 20, 2021 by appointment

 * Special Delivery or Pick Up dates can be arranged if necessary.
