FAA at Frankfort Village Hall:

Homegrown Pride

November 9, 2020 - February 15, 2021

Call for Art

Frankfort Arts Association member artists who are residents of Frankfort are invited to submit entries for an exhibit in the Frankfort Village Hall.

Frankfort is a bustling community that we all call home. Rooted in a rich agricultural history, our village has defined itself as a modern community with an exciting future. Our inaugural gallery wall at the Frankfort Village Hall will showcase our hometown FAA members' vision of Frankfort: yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

  • Artists may submit one work.

  • Most subjects, styles, and techniques will be accepted, from realistic to abstract – figures, landscapes, architecture, animals, design, observations, inventions, transformations, symbols, etc. The Village requests that nothing overtly political or controversial be displayed.

  • Submitted works can be in any medium, but must be wired and able to hang from a hook on the wall.

  • All sizes and formats will be accepted.

  • Artists are responsible for providing their own insurance if desired. Neither FAA nor the Village will insure loss or damage of work. A loan agreement containing this stipulation must be signed and provided to FAA when dropping off your work.

  • The exhibit is open to active FAA Member Artists who reside in Frankfort, IL

 By OCTOBER 30, 2020

  • In order to participate in this exhibit, artists must complete the online entry form by clicking the "Complete Entry Form" button below.

  • Email a jpeg image of the work to entries@frankfortarts.org. Label your jpeg with your full name and Village. Example: ChristinaCooley_Village. Your image will be used on the FAA website where buyers can purchase your artwork. If your piece is Not for Sale, the photo may still be on the website but marked as such.

  • Work must be properly wired and ready to hang; no sawtooth hangers, please. Wrapped edges must be finished.

  • Curators reserve the right to refuse work that does not meet the requirements or is considered too fragile for the exhibit.

  • All work remains on exhibit for the duration of the show. If purchased, the piece will hang until the show has ended and arrangements will be made for pick-up by the purchaser.

  • Unless requested otherwise by the artist, permission is given to the FAA to use any images of exhibited work for publicity or educational purposes.

  • There is a nonrefundable $10 fee to participate. At the time you send your entry information, please make your payment by clicking the "Pay $10 Fee" button below.

  • The gallery collects 30% of the sale price of each work sold during the run of the show.

  • Work may be marked as Not for Sale.
