On Behalf of The Jolly Giraffe
Frankfort Arts Association member artists are invited to submit entries for a collaboration with The Jolly Giraffe, a new bookstore coming in November to downtown Frankfort at 116 Kansas St.

Please read the entire call carefully, as this exhibit is unique.

GUIDELINES and RULES:​

Active FAA Member Artists may submit one hanging work.

Each entry must feature one or more giraffes as its subject. The mood should be lively, whimsical, jolly, or joyful.

Most styles and techniques will be accepted, from realistic to abstract.

Submitted works can be in any medium.

Works must be no larger than 8" x 10" plus mat and frame.

Work must be properly wired and ready to hang. Paintings should be framed unless done on gallery-wrapped canvas (1.5" deep). Wrapped edges must be finished.

Each artwork must be available for sale.
By October 28, 2024:

To participate in this exhibit, artists must complete the online entry form below and upload a photo of their artwork (jpeg or png preferred).

Your image will be used on the FAA website where buyers can purchase your artwork

If purchased, the buyer will show their receipt at The Jolly Giraffe to pick up their purchase. Purchases do not need to remain on exhibit. They can be picked up immediately during open hours.

Unless requested otherwise by the artist, permission is given to the FAA and The Jolly Giraffe to use any images of exhibited work for publicity or educational purposes.

Unless you hear otherwise, consider your entry accepted for the members' show.
FEES AND COMMISSION:

There is a nonrefundable $10 fee to participate. After submitting your entry, make your payment.

FAA retains 30% of the sale price of each work sold.

If your piece is sold, your commission will be mailed out during the first two weeks of the month following the sale (e.g. if sold in November, you will receive a check in December).

All other dates are TO BE DETERMINED as The Jolly Giraffe plans for its Grand Opening. This page will be updated and we will notify all participants when dates have been scheduled.
