Open Call, Juried Exhibit

Art in and of itself can be a great treasure. This exhibit will embrace special places, meaningful moments, found objects and all things held dear. Show us your artistic perspective of precious things.
GUIDELINES:
Treasures is an open call, juried show
Gallery space is limited
Artists may submit up to three pieces
Submitted works can be in any medium, 2D or 3D, except for video
RULES:
All artists 18 and over are eligible to apply.
Shipped work will be accepted but a return shipping label is required with the work in order to return it at the end of the show.
Works should not have been shown at the FAA Gallery previously.

2-dimensional work must be wired and ready to hang; no sawtooth hangers, please. Wrapped edges must be finished.
Curators reserve the right to refuse work that does not meet the requirements or is considered too fragile for the exhibit.
All work remains on exhibit for the duration of the show.
All 2D and 3D works that require special installation procedures must be installed by the artists themselves.
Unless requested otherwise by the artist, permission is given to Frankfort Arts Association to use any images of exhibited work for publicity or educational purposes.
Artists accepted into show are invited to drop off 1-3 pieces of non-framed (matted, clear-wrapped) reasonably-priced work for bin sale. Reproductions must be clearly marked as such.
FEES AND COMMISSION:
A non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to three entries must accompany the entry form at the time of submission.
The gallery retains a 30% commission from any sales of work during the exhibit.
Work may be marked NFS.
AWARDS:
Awards will be given for First, Second and Third Place, and two Honorable Mentions.
The Curator for the exhibit is Kristin Murphy.
The Juror and Exhibit Judge is Maureen Cribbs. Maureen is a retired art professor from Governors State University with a Masters in Art degree from GSU.

Exhibit dates: March 8 - April 25, 2020
Deadline for entries: February 20, 2020
Email Notification of acceptance: February 22, 2020
Delivery of entries: February 29, 2020, 11-1pm and March 1, 2020, 11am - 1pm
Loan and consignment forms due: At time of art delivery
Opening Reception for exhibit: Sunday, March 8, 2020, 1-3pm
Final day of the exhibit on view: April 25, 2020
Dates for pick-up of exhibited work: April 25, 2020, 4-6pm and April 26, 2020 11-1pm

All accepted artists will be sent exhibit labels that should be attached to the backs of works before delivery.
