Open Call, Juried Exhibit

March 8 - April 25, 2020

Deadline for Entries: February 20, 2020

Art in and of itself can be a great treasure. This exhibit will embrace special places, meaningful moments, found objects and all things held dear. Show us your artistic perspective of precious things.


  • Treasures is an open call, juried show

  • Gallery space is limited

  • Artists may submit up to three pieces

  • Submitted works can be in any medium, 2D or 3D, except for video


  • All artists 18 and over are eligible to apply.

  • Shipped work will be accepted but a return shipping label is required with the work in order to return it at the end of the show.

  • Works should not have been shown at the FAA Gallery previously.

  • Completed applications, entry fees, and jpeg images must be submitted to through this link:

  • 2-dimensional work must be wired and ready to hang; no sawtooth hangers, please. Wrapped edges must be finished.

  • Curators reserve the right to refuse work that does not meet the requirements or is considered too fragile for the exhibit.

  • All work remains on exhibit for the duration of the show.

  • All 2D and 3D works that require special installation procedures must be installed by the artists themselves.

  • Unless requested otherwise by the artist, permission is given to Frankfort Arts Association to use any images of exhibited work for publicity or educational purposes.

  • Artists accepted into show are invited to drop off 1-3 pieces of non-framed (matted, clear-wrapped) reasonably-priced work for bin sale. Reproductions must be clearly marked as such.


  • A non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to three entries must accompany the entry form at the time of submission.

  • The gallery retains a 30% commission from any sales of work during the exhibit.

  • Work may be marked NFS.


  • Awards will be given for First, Second and Third Place, and two Honorable Mentions.

  • The Curator for the exhibit is Kristin Murphy.

  • The Juror and Exhibit Judge is Maureen Cribbs. Maureen is a retired art professor from Governors State University with a Masters in Art degree from GSU.


Exhibit dates: March 8 - April 25, 2020

Deadline for entries: February 20, 2020

Email Notification of acceptance: February 22, 2020

Delivery of entries: February 29, 2020, 11-1pm and March 1, 2020, 11am - 1pm

Loan and consignment forms due: At time of art delivery 

Opening Reception for exhibit: Sunday, March 8, 2020, 1-3pm

Final day of the exhibit on view: April 25, 2020

Dates for pick-up of exhibited work: April 25, 2020, 4-6pm and April 26, 2020 11-1pm


  • All submissions must have a completed entry form and entry fee, submitted through through this link:

  • All accepted artists will be sent exhibit labels that should be attached to the backs of works before delivery.
