Teach a Free Community Art Class

The Frankfort Arts Association is seeking passionate teaching artists to partner with us in offering free art programs that inspire, connect, and uplift our community.

Through grant funding, FAA will pay artists for their time and materials, while local non-profit partners—such as The Bridge Teen Center and The Cancer Support Center—provide the venue, participants, and administrative support.

This collaborative model allows us to bring meaningful art experiences to diverse audiences while supporting fellow community organizations.

How the Program Works

This partnership model is designed to maximize community impact while keeping things simple for everyone involved.

Here’s how it benefits you as a teaching artist:

  • No Administrative Hassle: You get to focus on what you do best—teaching and inspiring through art. Our partner organizations handle registration, participant communication, and scheduling.

  • Guaranteed Payment: FAA will cover your professional fee and the cost of supplies, funded through community grants.

  • Meaningful Reach: Your class will directly serve audiences in need—whether that’s teens, families, adults, or cancer support participants—through trusted local organizations.

  • Mission in Action: Together, we’ll make art accessible to all and strengthen community connections through creativity.

What’s Expected of Artists

  • You’ll bring all necessary materials and supplies for your program.

  • Proposed costs should include your teaching fee and supplies.

  • FAA will pay the total approved amount using grant funds once your proposal is accepted.

  • You’ll work directly with our partner host on scheduling and setup details.

We also ask our partner organizations to help us document the impact of these programs through attendance numbers and participant feedback—valuable data that helps us grow this initiative and secure future funding.
