Christina Cooley

Christina Cooley is a Chicago-area visual artist working in acrylic and mixed media under the name C. Cooley Art. Rooted in contemporary lyrical abstraction, her paintings develop through intuitive gesture and layers of color, line, texture, and marks. Semi-figurative forms often emerge at the edge of recognition, inviting viewers to bring their own memories and associations to the work.

Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions at Crete Creative Gallery, Frankfort Village Hall, and Gallery Seven, as well as group exhibitions at venues including Zhou B Art Center. Her paintings are held in private collections across the country. Cooley is co-founder and president of the Frankfort Arts Association and a Gallery Artist at Tall Grass Arts Association.
